Dr. Joshua Tierney, an ERCP and HPB robotics surgeon, serves patients across the Plains of Colorado, Wyoming, and Western Nebraska. Although highly skilled, Dr. Tierney faced the challenge of creating a distinct and authoritative online presence that could reach patients in these wide-ranging, rural regions. Authority Solutions® was tasked with building a comprehensive digital strategy that included a branded website, social profiles, and location-specific pages to ensure his services were easily accessible and recognized.

Despite his expertise, Dr. Tierney’s digital presence was virtually non-existent, making it difficult for potential patients to find and trust his services online. Establishing authority across multiple small cities and rural communities presented unique challenges:

• No Established Domain or Authority: The surgeon needed a domain, website, branding, or social profile, resulting in a lack of authority and trust from search engines.
• Local Search Visibility: With no Google My Business page or location-specific content, the surgeon struggled to be found in search results across the broad geographic area he served.
• Tracking and Metrics: No system was in place to track incoming calls or web inquiries, limiting his ability to understand where leads came from.
• Lack of Informational Content: Without branding graphics or educational content, the website did not effectively communicate the surgeon’s expertise or the procedures he performed.

To address the unique challenges faced by Dr. Tierney, we implemented a comprehensive digital strategy focused on building a strong, geographically targeted online presence. Our approach included the following key elements:

• Branded Website Development: We collaborated with Dr. Tierney to develop a branded website with custom logo graphics and imagery. This also included establishing him as his domain, creating a foundation of authority and trust.
• Geographically Targeted Content and Profiles: Given the broad and diverse area he wanted to serve, we created a Google My Business profile and multiple on-site and off-site pages for each location, ensuring his services were visible in search results across various small cities and communities.
• Tracking and Analytics Implementation: We equipped Dr. Tierney’s website with metrics and tracking systems, enabling him to trace inbound leads, including phone calls and web form submissions, to better understand the sources of his traffic.

Through these efforts, we ensured that Dr. Tierney’s online presence was authoritative and strategically aligned with the needs of his geographically dispersed patient base.
